The Saskatchewan Roughriders are leading the Hamilton Tiger-Cats 17-10 at halftime of Saturday’s CFL game on Taylor Field.

After 30 minutes, Roughriders quarterback Darian Durant has completed 19 of 25 passes for 276 yards and one touchdown. He also has a one-yard touchdown run. Caleb Holley has seven receptions for 102 yards.

Saskatchewan opened the scoring at 2:51 of the first quarter when Tyler Crapigna hit a 48-yard field goal.

Hamilton got on the board when Zach Collaros hit Brandon Banks for a 16-yard touchdown pass at 10:51 of the first quarter to cap a seven-play, 105-yard drive. Brett Maher’s convert gave the visitors a 7-3 lead.

The Roughriders roared back with a three-play, 82-yard scoring drive. After Durant found Caleb Holley for a 30-yard gain, Armanti Edwards made a diving catch for a 46-yard major — his first touchdown catch in the CFL — at 12:24 of the first quarter. Crapigna’s convert put the Riders ahead 10-7.

Hamilton tied the game at 10-10 when Maher hit a 33-yard field goal at 5:24 of the second quarter.

The Roughriders went up 16-10 when Durant scored on a one-yard run to end a seven-play, 75-yard drive. The big plays were a 53-yard pass to Nic Demski and a 20-yarder to Holley.

On first-and-goal from the Hamilton one-yard line, Mitchell Gale — in to quarterback the short-yardage team — appeared to fumble. The ball was retrieved by Adrian Tracy and returned 107 yards for an apparent Tiger-Cats touchdown, but a video review revealed that Gale’s knee was down before the ball was dislodged. Durant returned to the game on second-and-one and ran for a TD. Crapigna added the convert at 10:09 of the second quarter.
